Backgammon Pro Launches a Poker BlogThe well known professional backgammon and poker Gus Hansen, has recently launched a blog on the poker website Card Player. On its first post, titled "Card Player, Gambler or Business Man?", Copenhagen resident Hansen shares his identity conflicts and promises that its new blog will include "…thoughts on gambling, sex and everything in between."
Gus Hansen is the latest edition to the Card Player team of columnists, which also includes Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth and more. The pro backgammon/poker player and amateur sport bettor, who spends most of his time playing poker and backgammon tournaments will, use the new blog to try answering the classic poker question, which is always relevant to backgammon, "How much skill and how much luck is there…?"
Before 34 years old Hansen could positively define himself "60% poker-player, 30% business-man, 10% degenerate gambler" (quote taken from the blog), he was full time backgammon player. Nowadays, he is regarded as one of the best dual discipline players in the world. Gus Hansen has recently joined the commentator team of the World Series of Backgammon (WSOB).
