Backgammon Site Wins Silver Award

The online backgammon site Play65 announced winning the Silver Award in the Top Skill Game category of Gambling Magazine Online 2007 Readers' Choice Award. The winning was announced at the magazine traditional Readers' Award Party, which took place last Tuesday, January 22, 2008 in a London restaurant. The magazine will dedicate a special issue to the Readers Choice Award on February.

The indecision on the character of backgammon –whether it is a game of skill or a pure chance game – was solved last Tuesday, when an online backgammon site was named Top Skill Game by readers of the UK based gaming publication, Gambling Magazine Online.

Thrilled and excited Play65 spokesperson told Backgame that "…winning the Readers' Choice Award was a great way to open 2008…we thanks our players for choosing Play65, despite the rough competition… we plan to continue improving the players' experience at Play65 and to develop more online games for the benefit of our players."

Play65 was launched in 2004. The backgammon site has more than 5 million users, making it the largest backgammon community online. In 2007, Play65 has launched a new community feature, enables its players to communicate with each other and invite one another to play backgammon tournaments online.
