Kevin Spacey Inspires Online Backgammon PromotionThe online backgammon and casino site "Backgammon Masters" is inviting the "MIT Blackjack Team", a group of mathematics students who've majored in Las Vegas casinos' card counting, to challenge its blackjack platform. The invitation is synchronized with the release of the movie "21", which reveals the true story of six MIT students who'd raked in millions using their card counting expertise. So, if the MIT Blackjack Team had managed to get through Las Vegas casinos, can it break Backgammon Masters blackjack software? It seems like Backgammon Masters have found a promotion opportunity for their blackjack software: the new film "21", directed by Robert Luketic and features Kevin Spacey and a list of anonymous actors, provides the online backgammon/casino site a chance to brag about their blackjack platform. The movie "21" is inspired by a true story of five Massachusetts Institute of Technology students who have changed the game of blackjack forever, as the tagline said. The group, also called the "MIT Blackjack Team", has mastered in card counting the winning blackjack method, and went out on a cashing in journey in Las Vegas casinos. While land-based casinos tend to ban card counters, Backgammon Masters claims that their online blackjack software unique feature, the strategy calculator, can "augment the odds of the player's chance at getting a 'perfect play'." According to Backgammon Masters statement, the company blackjack game has "different standards for deck numbers and card randomness". In other words, they are not afraid of bright MIT brains; on the contrary, Backgammon Masters calls card counters, mathematicians and basically everyone who is interested in playing blackjack, to download their software and try to use traditional blackjack strategy to get an edge over their online casino.
