Online Games Terms A-DAdventure – genre of online games characterized by quest solving and a complicated plot AFK – stands for Away From Keyword, this acronym says that the online gamer is not totally dedicated to playing the game Anti-Alias - a smoothing graphical effect used to reduce the pixelated look of the game objects Arcade – usually relates to simple and effortless games with basic goals and fast levels. The term Arcade may also relate to coin-operated game facilities often found in restaurants, pubs and public game centers. BBot – computer software programmed to imitate the playing pattern of a human player. Bots are commonly used in FPS as well as in board games such as backgammon and chess CCasual Games - all online games that targeted towards mass audience and characterized by their simplicity
Casual Gamers – less experienced, recreational players; the target audience of casual games Cheat – the use of code, successive keyword pressing or any other external assistance to change the player's abilities and make him undefeatable
Clan – a group of players who team up to play in a multi-player game (usually a FPS game) against other groups; see also Guild
