PartyGammon Investigated by US GovernmentPartyGaming, the company that owns and operates the online backgammon website PartyGammon, an online casino, bingo, poker and sports betting sites, has been investigated by representatives of the US Government. Online Casino News reports that PartyGaming, the online gaming company resides in Gibraltar has been negotiating with the US Government officials for sometimes now. The investigation is a result of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA), which forced the gaming company to give up online gamblers from the United States and led to a drop in its daily revenue (mainly from the poker site). The results of this negotiation remain unknown. According to Mitch Garber, PartyGaming CEO, the company has recovered from the (UIGEA) influences and had reinvented itself as "a multi-lingual and multi-currency non-US company". PartyPoker.com, the company online poker room trades on the London stock exchange.
