South Florida Backgammon ClubSouth Florida Backgammon Club holds weekly, monthly and annual backgammon tournaments for players of all skill levels from the south of Florida. The tournaments take place at the North Ridge Raw Bar & Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale and they are open to anyone, subject to pre-confirmation. Weekly Tournaments
South Florida Backgammon Club weekly tourneys are scheduled to Saturday noon at 1 PM. Entry fee is priced at $20 in addition to $20 optional side pool.
Monthly Backgammon Tournaments
The monthly backgammon tournaments occur every second Sunday of each month at 1 PM, at the usual meeting place. Entry fee is $6-5 and the optional side pool stands on $35.
Florida State ChampionshipSouth Florida Backgammon Club annual event, the Florida State Championship, features the top backgammon players of Florida. The backgammon event usually lasts for 3-4 days and divided into three divisions: novice, intermediate and open division. Due to the relatively higher entry fees, the prizes in the annual event are much bigger. For example, in the last Florida State Championship, the Masters Champion took home 100% return of the side pool plus $500.
