Will Facebook Members Play Online Games against Myspace Friends?

Mytopia is a new online gaming community planned to be launched on March 24, 2008. The gaming community features all the classic online games such as backgammon, chess, dominoes, sudoko, poker and more. Its unique feature is the ability to play directly from popular social networks such as Facebook and Myspace. 

Though it is possible to play online games from your social network, you cannot compete against players who are not registered at the same network. Mytopia, formed by Real Dice, Inc., intends to put an end to this deficiency. Still closed in Alpha, Mytopia, will allow Myspace members to play against Facebook members or from widgets such as Yahoo, Google and Microsoft and to send instant messages to members of any social network. 

Backgammon, poker, chess, hearts, sudoko, dominoes and spades are some of the online games that will be available in Mytopia. The games will be played on points, which can be later cashed out for virtual goods or coupons for online stores. Mytopia members will be able to either open private game rooms or join in for public arena games.
